Tickets are on sale now for RJ Chesney’s A Southern Man album release show on Thursday, October 22, at 7:30 p.m. at Scribble in Highland Park, CA.
Joining RJ for this special evening are two of his personal favorite artists, Eleni Mandell and MAESA. MAESA will also bring to life the magical backing vocals she contributed to the album. RJ will perform with a full band featuring many of the musicians who played on A Southern Man, with the final lineup to be announced soon.
Scribble is more than a performance space. It also provides mental health counseling, therapy, and sober living support. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will help make affordable counseling available to those in need.
Five years in the making, A Southern Man is a deeply personal record that confronts mental health head-on. Its songs explore the consequences of avoiding difficult truths, along with the freedom and joy that can come from facing our demons, embracing healing, taking care of ourselves, and showing up for one another.
